Full Moon in Taurus: say out loud what you've kept buried

October 23, 2026•5 min read

The Full Moon in Taurus is on Monday 26 October at 05:11 CET, at 2°46′ Taurus, with Pluto at 3°06′ Aquarius square both lights.

Some of you have been thinking, "I thought I was past this by now." You've done so much work, and one situation brings you right back. Let me take you through this one like a story.

Table of the Full Moon in Taurus, Swedish time: Full Moon on Mon 26 Oct, 05:11 CET, Moon 2°46′ Taurus and Sun 2°46′ Scorpio; Sun and Moon square Pluto at 3°06′ Aquarius, 0°20′ at the Full Moon; Sun conjunct Venus on Sat 24 Oct, 05:44 CEST, 0°45′ Scorpio; Mercury stations retrograde on Sat 24 Oct, 09:12 CEST, 20°59′ Scorpio; Venus retrograde at 29°31′ Libra, opposite the Moon.

"I thought I was past this"

Is this all a waste of time? Am I ever going to feel healed, no longer shaped by what's moving around me?

My perspective is no, you won't always feel a consistent sense of an integrated self. Some parts of you will stay tender. If you measure your growth against those parts, I can see why you'd feel a bit defeated.

So I'm going to say it. It is worth it.

Your window of tolerance

Each of us has a nervous system, and a window of tolerance, shaped by the bumps and bruises that made us more sensitive to certain things. Some days you feel strong and resilient. Other days you can't contain it.

If you keep seeing the tender parts of yourself as pieces to be fixed, it never ends. Looking that far ahead is exhausting, and that's when we give up on what felt good at the beginning.

A lot of us spent the last seven years, with Uranus in Taurus, doing that work. I think we've come to a point where we can move beyond it. If you're only starting out on that path, this may not be true for you yet.

The halfway point

Since the middle of September, the transits have been pointing to the restoration of your desire for connection with the world. Reconnecting with something inside you that feels like aliveness, and honouring the sacred within yourself.

With this Full Moon, we've arrived at the halfway point. The stress of Venus to Pluto and Mars to Pluto has probably caused some emotional tension in your life. You have to acknowledge that, right?

It hasn't been in vain

So this hasn't been in vain. These stress points are like tectonic plates pushing against each other, and what they push up is an invitation to see the shape of the deeper emotional layer of your life.

I see Taurus experiences in layers. An outer layer of our choices, what we reinforce and normalise. A layer in between that watches reality and justifies what we normalise. And the core memory, or wound, itself.

Diagram of three layers, as rings: the outer layer, what we reinforce and normalise; in between, what we use to watch reality and justify it; and the core, the core memory or wound.

This Full Moon helps us arrive at that core, the deepest, non-verbal layer of emotional memory. For each of us it holds a Taurean sensitivity, maybe betrayal, maybe abandonment, the part of you that feels the world is stronger and can hurt it. So it's easier to bury it.

Say it out loud

This Full Moon asks you not to let that happen. At some point you got a message that this part of you wasn't allowed to be witnessed, so it was safer to keep it hidden.

So say it out loud. To somebody close to you, in your journal, or in the comments if you're feeling brave. Say, "There it is. That's what it is."

Once you do, you stop hiding behind the protection that says it's not allowed to be alive in the world.

The chart: Moon conjunct Chiron, opposite Venus

Full Moon in Taurus chart, Monday 26 October 2026, 05:11 CET

Mars is in Leo at 15 degrees and Jupiter in Leo at 23 degrees, square Mercury retrograde at 20 degrees Scorpio. In my Mercury retrograde video I called that an individuating square: trying something fresh, and giving visibility, Leo, to what needs to be said underneath the surface.

Across the chart, the Moon at 2 degrees Taurus is conjunct Chiron in Aries. Chiron in Aries shows the path to remembering your agency. Here's my body, here's the space I take up, I can act. The Moon is in Taurus, so it's what's buried. Together they say it's time to bring that to the surface and take up space in a new way.

That Moon and Chiron oppose Venus, retrograde at 29 degrees Libra. You'll feel the tension between two worlds. The one you've always lived in, where you normalised a lack of agency. And the new one you're emerging into, which feels a bit foreign, though you know it's what you want.

Be patient with yourself. People who know the old you may feel some ruffles, and you can tell them, "This is what I'm learning." That's the Mercury retrograde piece. Take it in small doses, because a big change can bring negative feedback and pull you right back. Small baby steps.

The journey so far

Tuesday 15 September, Venus squares Pluto: the opening. The underworld opens. (Venus Square Pluto)

Saturday 26 September, Full Moon in Aries: the descent, Alice tumbling down the rabbit hole. (Full Moon in Aries)

Saturday 3 October, Venus turns retrograde and Mars opposes Pluto: the reorientation, accepting you're somewhere new. (Venus Retrograde in Scorpio)

Saturday 10 October, New Moon in Libra: the decision, whether you commit to the change. (New Moon in Libra)

Friday 16 October, Pluto turns direct at 3 degrees Aquarius: the commitment to yourself to not attach to the old relationship choices. (Pluto direct)

Tuesday 20 October, Venus squares Pluto again, now with Venus retrograde and Pluto direct. Same place, seen from the other side. Pluto says you've committed to the small thing you want to change, and Venus says, yeah, I can get on board with that.

The thread through all of it is reconnecting with the sacred.

Timeline of the journey so far: Tue 15 Sep, the opening; Sat 26 Sep, the descent; Sat 3 Oct, the reorientation; Sat 10 Oct, the decision; Fri 16 Oct, the commitment; Tue 20 Oct, same place, other side; Sat 24 Oct, the new hope; Mon 26 Oct, the turning point.

The new hope

On Saturday 24 October the Sun meets Venus, the same day Mercury stations retrograde. I call it the new hope. Venus becomes a morning star, a rebirth. The descent is done and we're coming out the top.

So this Full Moon is the turning point, between what opened on 15 September and the version of you that's being transformed.

Watch my video on the four ways Pluto drives your evolution again. You may see one of those four ways has shown up for you.

You survived. I survived. And we also had to let something go.

Reflect

Questions to reflect on

  1. Where have you thought, "I thought I was past this", these last few weeks?
  2. Could that be a separate thing from the work you've already done?
  3. What's the one small step that honours what's sacred for you?
  4. Who could you tell, "This is what I'm learning"?
  5. What's the thing you've kept buried? If you're feeling brave, say it out loud in the comments.
